Koichi Shinagawa (品川 孝一 Shinagawa Kōichi) is an original character from the visual novel version. He is a second-year student of Suimei and classmates of Sorata Kanda and Mashiro Shiina.

- The name Koichi means "filial piety, obedience" (孝) (ko) and "one" (一) (ichi).
- Koichi's surname Shinagawa means "goods, article, thing, dignity, counter for meal courses" (品) (shina) and "river, stream" (川) (kawa/gawa).
